Children below 5 years old do not necessarily need to be physically present at the Embassy for biometrics:
Since babies under 5 age do not require to come to Embassy for biometrics, you may fill up pre-enrolment form from any other locations available (Not necessary to be under Embassy of Nepal, Canberra). You can fill up form from this link https://emrtds.nepalpassport.gov.np/. If any confusion while filling form, please click here. After filling up pre-enrolment form, send the following documents to Embassy by post, or bring in person. (No need to wait for appointment date to send documents):
- Duly filled in pre-enrollment form (the form must be signed by their parents, if there is any mistake you can correct it by hand which can be edited by Embassy)
- Copy of Minor Citizenship Certificate (In case of First Issuance of Passport, the Birth Registration Certificate is accepted)
- Colour copy of Parents" Marriage Registration Certificate
- Colour copies of Parents" Citizenship Certificates
- Valid Visas of parents (First and Second Page)
- 35mm X 45mm sized, only 70% face coverage, high resolution borderless photos (2 pieces) with white background. Please don"t put any TIKA on forehead. Photo with tika will not be accepted.
- Money Order or Bank Check of required amount made in the name of "Embassy of Nepal, Canberra". (Not required if bringing documents in person)
Do not send
- Return envelop along with above documents. If you send earlier, Embassy will return it empty. Return envelop should be sent only after you receive an email informing that passport is ready for collection, or if message prompts “Passport has been issued" in 'Nepal ePassport' App.
- Any original documents like Passports and Citizenship Certificates. Embassy will not be responsible for loss of the original documents if you send.

AUD 115.00 for 34 pages passport and AUD 155.00 for 66 pages passport

AUD 175.00 for 34 pages passport and AUD 230.00 for 66 pages passport

Notes:
- You can track application status by downloading "Nepal ePassport" App. Barcode no. of your pre-enrolment form is the reference no. It is ready for collection only if message prompts “Passport has been issued. (Generally, tracking status is displayed one month later from the date we receive your document).
- Minor e-Passport with a validity period of 5 years will be issued for new born baby . Within this period the child must obtain Minor ID from his/her respective District/Area Administration Office of Nepal and must submit it for the next renewal. To renew the passport of Minor, Minor ID is mandatory. If not, temporary passport with two years validity will be issued.
